Ok, so here's the deal...
Since this goofy cretinous prick, Lamar S. Smith (see right) introduced the SOPA bill the vast majority of file uploading sites have been forced to close down. As you may well have noticed this means that a fair amount of our links on past entries have gone down. Not only is this a disappointment and a pain in the ass to you guys, it is also making my life a nightmare and putting the blog in jeopardy.
Back at the start of November last year a company working on behalf of Orange Goblin for Rise Above Records decided to take it upon themselves to contact Mediafire, the uploading site that we use, and attempted to terminate our account. Several of our uploads we're subsequently blocked and their links on here became dead. I would like to point out that since day one we have never uploaded a single file that we have not had permission for. Needless to say there is not and never has been any property of Rise Above Records uploaded to the internet by ourselves. Anywhere.
For the time being we will attempt to keep on bringing you new and interesting bands for as long as we are able.
In the meantime please drop us an email if you notice any dead links and I will do my damnedest to fix them within a day or two. Also, if anyone would like to drop us any donations, no matter how small, to pay towards the monthly cost of our Mediafire account you can do so below. Everyone who donates will go into a draw at the end of the year to win all of the goodies and bits that we've been send over the last 12 months!
